Matthew Saville > "Rabbit Island Lawnmower"(Note: The deer on Rabbit Island seem to cross here by ...swimming? I didn't know deer could swim. They loved to feed on the grass that grows in the "yard" (meadow I suppose, that we (inconsiderately?) built our boardwalk right through... The deer loved even more to feed on the leaves of the tree above; we tried in vain to photograph the deer standing on it's hind legs and nabbing leaves, but it was too dark... Apparently they'll eat a branch from your hands if you pull one off and hold it out, but to me that felt like cheating. Although they were already very numb to humans, which I hope does not bring them to harm on other islands.)
